Excellence of Youth Charity Art Exhibition 23rd - 25th September 2016
Hello, thank you for visiting EOY 2016
Who we are
The Excellence of Youth (EOY) Exhibition was founded by Jane Clark, who has a long history of fundraising and supporting young artists. Since 2012, each EOY exhibition has been run as a joint venture between Jane, Dona de Winton (Drey Contemporary) and Jennifer Twomey (Artbenefact LLP). Following on from a successful EOY 2013 and 2014, EOY 2016 hopes to take the concept further with an expanded team and a new venue on the Thurlow Estate. This year EOY is delighted to be supporting the great work done by the charity 'Our Special Friends'.
What we do
EOY is a fundraising art exhibition and unique platform for artists under the age of 30. ‘The Excellence of Youth’ was originally organised as a way to thank a handful of talented young artists who very generously donated original artworks for auction at the Magic Bus Gala Dinner, held annually at The Dorchester Hotel in London. EOY has since welcomed other young artists wishing to 'give back' to great EOY causes. The EOY Team in turn pour their collective experience, connections and enthusiasm into organising each EOY exhibition.
Why we do it
Our motivation, as we celebrate the 'Excellence of Youth' is to showcase exceptional contemporary works of art by emerging artists, and in so doing, raise vital funds for a great cause. Each member of the EOY team is passionate about both art and animals, so being able to support the recently established charity 'Our Special Friends' is hugely rewarding. The EOY Team have numerous 'special friends' between them and are blessed to be able to enjoy the many wonderful aspects of the human - animal relationship on a daily basis.
As you can imagine it takes rather a lot of helping hands to put together a fundraising exhibition like EOY. Would you like to support young artists and this terrific cause? Volunteering at EOY is great fun, and there are many different tasks from helping us to spread the word in the lead up to the event and set up and take down of the exhibition to assisting at the private view and over the EOY weekend. Volunteers are very well looked after at EOY and you will be part of a really lovely team at a beautiful venue on Thurlow Estate. Whether you are an art-lover, animal-lover or simply looking for some local volunteering to boost your CV, don't hesitate to contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
